Refund Policy

All reservations require a $50 non refundable and non transferable deposit for each room booked. However, if you cancel your reservation 7 days PRIOR to your check in date your $50 deposit will be left on your account as a deposit for your next reservation. Please note - any deposit left on your account will expire one year from original reservation date. HOWEVER, all deposits for major holiday seasons are always non refundable and non transferable. If you cancel your reservation LESS than 7 days prior to your check in date your deposit is also non refundable and non transferable. We understand that everyone has a good reason for canceling, but this is our policy. Please do not ask for a refund. We have this policy because we have saved this suite for your pet. If you cancel without giving us at least 7 days notice we most likely will not be able to book that suite at such a late date because people on the waiting list have already made other arrangements .

Major Holiday Seasons: All deposits for reservations that include a major holiday season will be NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. Your deposit will NOT be refundable or transferable for any reason. Please do not make a reservation until you are sure you need it.

ATTENTION - You are committed to paying for the number of nights you actually book unless you change your dates 7 days prior to your check in date. We have saved the room for your pet and turned other pets away. Being considerate and not over booking your stay will help prevent a rate increase.

There is a 3 night minimum for all major holiday seasons, except for the Thanksgiving holiday season and the Christmas holiday season which is a 5 night minimum.

Credits: Any credit on your account for any reason will expire one year from the date it is posted to your account.

Sunday/Holiday Policy

You are charged for Sundays/Holidays even if you check out on that day. We are open for convenience only from 4 pm until 5 pm.

Long Term Lodging

If your pet is staying for more than one week, we will charge your credit card weekly at the end of each week.

Vaccinations

All vaccinations must be current for Rabies, Distemper Parvo and Bordetella (dogs only). Please have your vet email us, [email protected], or  fax us (919 383-5150) this information. Although all pets are required to have an up-to-date Bordetella vaccination, he/she is still at risk of acquiring Canine Cough. There is no vaccine for complete protection against Canine Cough. The truth is they can be vaccinated for 3 of the 13 known components of this complex disease. By vaccinating for these 3 diseases about 90% of the cases of Canine Cough are eliminated. However, it is possible for a vaccinated dog to get Canine Cough. We do recommend you get the Bordetella vaccination at least 48 hours before checking in.

All dogs must have a negative fecal. And don't forget the flea and tick prevention, even during winter months.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE CANINE INFLUENZA VACCINE. PLEASE TALK TO YOUR VET ABOUT THIS VACCINE.

Cats are required to have a Rabies vaccination and a Feline Distemper.

Identification

All pets must wear a collar that clearly identifies his or her first and last name and phone number. If your pet does not have a collar, you can purchase a collar and/or name tag when you arrive at Sunny Acres. We do not allow metal chains, prongs, or spikes.

Luggage

We supply a Kuranda bed and a soft fleece blanket. No need to bring your pet's bed. You may bring treats and no more than 2 toys.  All items must be labeled with your pet's first and last name in permanent marker.  Please do NOT bring towels, tennis balls (or other, smaller ball toys), anything valuable to you or your pet, or large crates.  We do our best to make sure that all of your pet's belongings return home, but we are not responsible for any lost items.

Extra Charges for Special Diets - all raw food diets and any other special diet requirements will incur a $2 per meal charge.

Aggression is defined as the threat of harm to individuals, including, but not limited to, snarling, snapping, growling, barking, lunging or biting. All staff must be able to approach, touch, feed, leash, walk and physically assess your pet's health in order to provide the best care possible.
