Sunny Acres Pet Resort Doggy Day Camp provides a safe, fun and stimulating social environment. Supervised activities in large, fenced-in play yards give the Campers lots of physical and mental exercise. Campers develop social skills as they play in groups according to activity level, age, size and temperament. Eliminate the anxiety of having to rush home and have peace of mind knowing your best friend is content while you are away.
Only on extremely hot, cold, or very rainy days do our Doggy Day Campers rotate from our large outside yards to our indoor play area. We do have an indoor play area, but we prefer to play outside as much as possible. So on fair weather days you will find us outside playing most of the day, except for nap time. We do have shelters in all of our yards with plenty of shade, and Patio Heaters under the shelters for those chilly days.
To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we require all guests to comply with the following:
Age: All dogs must be at least 16 weeks of age or older.
Sex: All dogs 8 months or older must be spayed or neutered.
Shots: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof of Rabies, Distemper-Parvo and Bordetella vaccinations. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide Sunny Acres with updated vaccination records.
Identification: All Day Campers must wear a proper-fitting collar that identifies the dog’s name.
Behavior: Dogs in Day Camp must have suitable social skills with other people and dogs. The Day Camp environment is NOT for every dog. Please remember that your pet will be spending time with other pets and the safety and health of all animals is our main concern. Dogs that do not share toys or have other guarding issues may not be allowed to participate in Day Camp. If you feel your dog may lack social confidence or the appropriate skills, please ask us about training.

Passes expire 1 year from date of purchase.
Days and Hours: Monday through Friday 7 am – 12 pm (nap time mid day in heated/air conditioned suites with kuranda beds provided) and 1 pm – 6 pm.
Saturday 7 am-11 am.
Sunday morning available only for dogs who are overnight guests on Saturday night.
On the very first day of Camp, your dog needs to be the first dog in his/her yard. We add the other dogs to the yard slowly, one dog at a time assessing each interaction. Your dog needs to arrive between 7:00 am – 7:30 am. If your dog is doing the afternoon session only, he/she needs to arrive between 1:00-1:30 pm. After the first day you may arrive any time up until 9:00 am. If we have a very large number of campers and you arrive after 9:00 am, there is a chance your dog may have to wait until the afternoon session. However, if that occurs, we will give your dog a personal play time in the morning.
NEW DOGS FOR DOGGY DAY CAMP DURING MAJOR HOLIDAYS: New campers are encouraged to do at least one day of Doggy Day Camp PRIOR to a major holiday. We want Doggy Day Camp to be a good experience for your dogs.
$1.00 per minute will be charged for pets left after scheduled hours. Dogs not picked up by 6:00 PM weekdays or 11:00 AM on Saturday will be considered an overnight guest and will be transferred to the overnight suites. Day Camp fees plus overnight lodging fees will apply.
Weather/Grooming: Our Day Camp features acres of grassy, outdoor play areas which means your dog may get dirty. Please consider getting your dog bathed or rinsed if you want to make sure you pick up a clean dog. During inclement weather we do provide alternative indoor activities, but we still have to go outside to potty.

Need to drop off early or pick up late? We offer an option for owners of frequent Doggy Day Campers who are here just for the day to drop their dogs off early (before 7 am) or pick them up late (after 6 pm) if needed. We have a room available with large crates set up that is used for this purpose. We must know that you will be coming early or picking up late so we can explain how to enter this room when the office is closed. We do charge a small fee of $5 to use this service. It is for Day Campers only who are here just for the day.
Cancellations: 24 hour notice would be appreciated.
